PHARMACIST (HARAPAN II RESEARCH)
- Full‐time (start immediately if possible) | Contractual (at least 1-year commitment required)
- Negotiable (based on experience)
- To be based at the Kg Baru Clinic, Kajang Prison and Centre of Excellence for Research in AIDS (CERiA).
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities
To carry out research tasks according to the research protocol. Generally, these include:
• Manage methadone dispensing every day except for weekends and public holidays (makes sure each patient receives the proper dose)
• Managing and labeling methadone bottles
• To manage and keep an updated record of the daily data for methadone dispensing
• To assist on-site physician on other administrative and human resource activities related to the project.
• To maintain the stock for methadone and all other medications (counting, checking expiration dates & etc.)
• To manage new prescriptions after the physician confirms on them (filling up prescriptions, attaching it correctly for the patients, etc.)
• To manage the procurement of methadone from KKM
• Manage LTBI treatment dispensing
Experience and Qualifications
Registered Pharmacist with Malaysia Pharmaceutical Society (MPS)
• Sensitivity to at-risk and vulnerable populations
• Maintain ethical conduct and maturity when asking sensitive questions
• Must be fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English (Chinese or Tamil will be a bonus)
• Previous clinical research experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to quickly problem solve, and work collaboratively under pressure
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks, attention to detail, strong work ethic, and flexibility
• Ability to communicate accomplishments and project barriers to multidisciplinary team
• Ability to learn via trainings, new software for project management, data management, etc.
• An interest and an ability to learn infectious disease, addiction medicine and harm reduction, prior background and knowledge is preferred.
• Option to complete Masters or PhD, if interested
