Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities
To record the patients’ history and personal information, evaluate important details such as blood pressure, assist doctors with patients’ check-up, injections or medicine dispensary following doctors’ instructions according to the state law.
Scheduling doctor’s appointments with patients, packing blood samples to be sent to pathology labs and keeping inventory of patients’ medical history.
Carries out any impromptu lab tests, dispose tarnished stock and sterilize medical equipment.
Keep track with patients’ medicines from the doctors, assist doctors with surgeries, prepare patients for x ray, take samples of blood and change patients’ clothes.
Experience and Qualifications
A Diploma in Medical Assistant.
An advantage to have previous experiences being a medical assistant/clinical work.
Fluent in written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Able to work with minimal supervision and collaborate well with the doctors and the research team.
Possess own transport and able to travel to Kajang Prison; with mileage claim for official duties.
