I am a social psychologist who aims to understand and intervene in associations between stigma and health inequities. Much of my research is with people living with chronic illnesses, including substance use disorders, HIV, and mental illness. This website contains resources for people who do similar research and/or like to learn about research.
The Research page highlights several of my current research projects, theories of stigma and health inequities, and stigma scales as well as answers questions about my research. The People page introduces lab members. The Podcast page links to our Sex, Drugs & Science podcast. The News page includes a blog about my latest research findings, and announcements about upcoming presentations, media coverage, and other things. Thanks for visiting!
The Stigma & Health Inequities Lab hosts the Sex, Drugs, & Science Podcast. We interview your favorite sex and drugs scientists about what they study and why. Each week features an interview with a scientist studying topics such as: pornography, opioids, HIV, harm reduction, and others. Co-hosted by Valerie Earnshaw and Carly Hill with help from the UD Stigma Lab.
